Acrylic and photographic print on composite panel, 200×175 cm The work consists of two photographs that I personally taken on film in Bucharest in October 2022. The two images were randomly taken on different days in the same place. I imagined that these two people were habitually standing on the same bench without giving each other an appointment, but only knowing or hoping that the other would arrive sooner or later. The woman looking toward the center of the bench where the man will sit in the future is a tangible manifestation of a connection far removed from the modern uses of communications and networking. A very simple gesture that no longer belongs to the new generations, for whom a message or a call becomes inescapable to finding each other. As if in the frantic and hurried concern of losing the other, we actually consume the real and invisible connection human connection that binds us together.
